How did the family come to own small Fords?

Peter had the first small Ford a TE Cortina, he then found his dream Cortina a TD. This was born from a love of the original king (wog007) which was a immaculate mushroom beige XLE 4 cylinder auto. Several years later it was converted to a 302 Windsor with C4 and a 9 inch diff, I still own the same car today. A rebuild started approx. 2 years ago with new paint, new trim and new motor.

Dean's love affair pretty much followed suit except the preferred Cortina is the TE. I've owned 9 to date and currently own 4 ranging from the TC to TF. Our choice of small fords has been largely influenced by our father and a love of drag racing. A big thanks to him as he is the one who does all the hard yards with these cars.

Do you plan on owning any other small Fords?

Peter would love a full chassis race car one day. I might find that elusive TC/TD Coup, you never know your luck.

What do you like most about the club?

We have to agree the people in the club would be the best thing closely followed by the cars. Of course the enjoyment of being around both.
